How it works

Three steps, no rewiring, and nothing goes live until you have heard it and approved it.

Tell us about your business

One conversation, usually about half an hour. We ask what you do, what you do not do, the hours you keep, the area you cover, and how you like jobs booked.

We also ask the awkward questions: which calls must reach you straight away, who takes the overflow, and what you want said when somebody asks a price. You talk, we write the script.

We build it, you approve it

We build your agent and send you a number to test-call. You ring it as often as you like, try to trip it up, and hear exactly how it talks to your customers.

Anything you do not like, we change. Nothing goes live on your real number until you have heard it and told us you are happy with it.

It answers your calls

You forward your existing line to us and the agent starts picking up — day, night, weekends and holidays.

Every call is recorded, transcribed and summarized. Anything that needs a person reaches your team by name, on the rules you set during setup.

Your number stays your number

You keep the number that is on your trucks, your yard signs and every invoice you have ever sent. Nothing about it changes.

Setup is call forwarding from your current line. You keep your account with your existing provider, and we walk you through the exact steps for your specific one — usually a few minutes on the phone with us on the line.

If you would rather have a brand new number, we can do that too. It is an option, not a requirement.

Works with your existing provider

  • AT&T
  • Verizon
  • T-Mobile
  • Spectrum
  • Cox
  • RingCentral

And others. If your line can forward calls — and almost every line can — it works. Tell us who you are with on the quote form and we will have your setup guide ready before we speak.

What the agent does

  • Answers 24/7, in your business's name
  • Handles routine questions about your services, hours and service area
  • Captures caller name, callback number, service address, and the nature of the problem
  • Takes messages and writes up a summary you can actually read
  • Triages urgency, so a burst pipe is handled differently from a maintenance question
  • Transfers live calls to your team by name, on rules you set
  • Records and transcribes every conversation
  • Filters spam and solicitor calls before they reach you

What it does not do

We would rather tell you now than have you find out in month two.

  • Give binding quotes or commit you to a price
  • Handle complaints, disputes or negotiations
  • Make judgment calls on unusual jobs
  • Make outbound sales calls
  • Pretend to be human if a caller asks

Any of these reaches a human on your team instead. That is the point — the agent covers the hours nobody is there for, and hands over the calls that need a person.

You approve it before launch

There is a hard stop between us building your agent and it answering a real customer. You test-call it, listen to it handle the questions your customers actually ask, and tell us what to change.

We do not forward a single live call until you have signed off. If you get to that point and do not like it, you have not lost anything.

Your monthly report

One page, in plain English, every month:

  • How many calls were answered
  • How many of those came in after hours
  • What callers were actually asking about

Most owners find the third one the most useful. It tends to show you what your customers are confused about — and where the next job is coming from.

  • Keep your current number
  • Works with your existing phone provider
  • You approve it before launch
  • Cancel anytime with 30 days notice
